Being the Principal of a renowned, challenge capturing

institution named as BIA

Bangalore.

I would like to extend a heartiest welcome to all my

previous & new students as well as their families who

are becoming the members of BIA family. We provide a

warm, caring, stimulating and challenging environment

in which our students learn and develop. We aim to

provide an education which explores and strengthens

the potential which is innate in every individual but

awaiting expression. In order to do so, we seek to

provide an environment which enriches the intellectual,

spiritual, emotional and physical development of the

pupil in an atmosphere that is happy and nurturing.

Emphasis is thus placed on promoting personal

achievement, building a sense of responsibility and

ultimately securing a strong sense of self.

Frequently I am asked what makes BIA, Bangalore so

special. My answer is quite simple, people. The people

who are at BIA School

provide a wonderful place where youth come together

for the singular purpose of learning about life and living.

We see the immensity of creating an excellence among

the youth of nation and to provide hi-tech resources to

achieve the objective of excellence in education. So we

seek to lay a foundation of true education, comprising

of values besides scholastic excellence, which can be

developed upon through every experience of life. In

this venture of ours, we bring you a striking balance

of contemporary practices with in the respected

conventions of education, which we are confident would

equip our students with clarity for making intelligent

choices of career. While we make good and full use of

technological amenities at our disposal, we remain

committed to maintaining and environment which

encourages learning through direct experience and

interaction.

As we remain pledged to the noble profession of teaching

and in humble regard for the experience for those who

guide us, and continue in gratitude for those who have

wished us well, we trust that our present endeavor of

giving you Nehru Smaraka Vidyalaya (BIA) will answer your

A curriculum is more than putting together a set of academically

required subjects. It must consider all aspects of the student

life, the learning needs of students, the time available for the

sessions and the teachers’ idea, capability and workload.

Students at NSV have an access to education which has

competitive edge and is globally relevant. Students feel the

real world and have access to the best knowledge without any

limits, so that they can access their own success stories.

Keeping all the aspects in mind the curriculum has been

categorized as Pre-primary curriculum, Primary/Secondary

curriculum

PRE-PRIMARY CURRICULUM

Considering both physical and mental developmental stages

and other characteristics nature of the children this age group,

the goals and objectives of their education at this stage are

broadly outlined as follows:

Bag less, stress less education, as all the books are kept in

the class. Twice in a week written Home Work is given

 Theme based categorization of the month of an Academic

year

Theme based display in the classroom

 Subject teaching with, Pre-reading, pre-writing, premathematical

with relevant activities.

Organized activities (Drawing, coloring, pasting, paper

folding and simple crafts)

Action song, music and movement, Free play (outdoors and

indoors), Role play, dramatization

 Stories, General knowledge of the Environment, Nature

walk

 Nutrition component: Children bring their snacks and

lunch. We prescribe a balanced and nutritive menu for the

kids.

 All round integrated development with adequate attention

to each and every domain.

 Development of good physique with adequate muscular

coordination and basic motor skills.

 Development of good health habits and building up of basic

skills necessary for personal adjustment such as dress,

toilet, washing, eating etc.

Development of emotional maturity by guiding them to

express, understands, accept and control their feelings and

emotions.

 Encouraging aesthetic appreciation

 Stimulating intellectual curiosity and to helping them to

understand the world in which they live an to foster new

interest by giving opportunities to explore, investigate and

experiment.

Health/medical checkup: Doctors specialized in dental,

skin, ENT, and general physicians are invited periodically

for for a check up and a health record should be maintained

for each child.
